This module will explore current and futures technology and attain understanding of audience and context. Students will further develop production skills and techniques and put into practice in client related scenarios. Students will gain experience of negotiating the design, pitch presentation, implementation and project management of a Web application.
This module will address project management strategies and techniques, group working, documentation strategies, pitching and presentation techniques, and user testing. There will be discussion of current and future technologies and their impact on the professional context and environment of the subject area.
The students will gain insights into, and knowledge of, the cultural and professional context, methodologies, procedures and day-to-day working of the professional Web Design industry.
This module will draw on a wide range of learning and teaching methods including seminars, workshops, client sessions, group critiques and group/individual tutorials.
The learning outcomes will be assessed through:
A portfolio including research, appropriate documentation and web based product(s) (weighting 100%).
